Le château de Malijai

Le château de Malijai a été édifié entre 1635 et 1643. Ce bâtiment est surtout connu pour avoir abrité Napoléon 1er dans la nuit du 4 au 5 mars 1815 alors qu'il tentait de remonter sur la Capitale pour reprendre le pouvoir.

En 1924, Madame de Parseval céda le château à la société Péchiney. 56 ans plus tard, en 1980, cette même société Péchiney vendit à la commune de Malijay le rez-de-chaussée du bâtiment et ses jardins à la française.
